[FAQ] — How WonderHero PVP Group Ranking Works
Many players have been asking how the PVP Arena rank points are calculated, this article will give you a better idea.
PVP Group Ranking Rules
1. How Group Ranking works?
Player’s rank position on the Group Ranking Leaderboard is based on the accumulated points and win streak.
- The highest point player will rank at the top.
- If 2 players have the same points, the player with the higher win streak will be ranked above.
- If both points and win streak are the same, the ranking will be randomized.
2. What affects the Points awarded after each PVP battle?
The points awarded are affected by the following:
- victory or defeat.
- current win streak count.
- the rank position of the opponent at the time of the battle.
i) Victory or Defeat
All PVP battles are in auto mode. Players will earn more points in a victory than a defeat. (Not taking in other factors, the difference between a victory and defeat may range around 20 points)
ii) Player’s current win streak count
The higher the win streak count, the player will be awarded with bonus points. Every win streak count increases the bonus points awarded by 8%. For example, if a player has a 20 win streak count, the bonus points awarded has increased by 8% for 20 times.
If the player is defeated in a PVP battle, his win streak count will be reset to 0, and no bonus points will be awarded.
iii) Rank position of Opponent
The rank position of the opponents affects the points awarded.
Using the following scenario as an example:
- Player A vs Player C
- Player B vs Player D.
- Player C is ranked higher than Player D.
- Both Player A & Player B won their battles.
In the above, because Player A’s opponent is ranked higher than Player B’s, Player A will be awarded higher points for defeating a stronger opponent.
Players of the same group will be randomly matched against each other at least once.
3. Defense win rate does not affect Player’s ranking
Defense win rate does not contribute to player’s points. Defense victory will break opponents’ win streaks which results in them earning lesser points and delaying their progress to rank higher on the leaderboard.
